Part of the Apex Community
The corner of Perry Road and South Hughes Street was a tobacco field when it was acquired by Jimmy and Charles King for future expansion. While this property is not technically part of the Norris Park Master Plan, it is owned and managed as part of The Park. This tract will ultimately house a business user, an office complex or a similar type facility. However, in the short term, the field is leased to the Apex Sports Authority for its youth soccer and lacrosse programs. When the field is not in use by the Apex Sports Authority, it is available to all of the citizens of Apex for individual, recreational use. We are proud that a generation of Apex youth has grown up playing sports on the “Norris Park Soccer Field.”
